Not that the music isn't great, yet when do you plan on posting more... words? Don't make me beg.

Dude, don't you know? Mr. 108 hates that word. You will not use it on his forum. EVER.

hello bibigoogles!

i remember you all the way from the liverjournal days.

there will be more words very soon. in fact, the next entry is an all-new novel-length one that will serve as something of a "clip show" covering every insipid thing i've ever written on the internet about my life.

by "very soon" i mean "within the next three months".

the name of this novel-length . . . thing will be "a blender recites shakespeare (or, "a man goes to russia")"

the name of our upcoming album is, yes, "a shotgun reads the phone book (or, "a pistol points at mount everest")"

Few music questions. What didn't you like about the guitar tone? You were going for the vaguely surf rock sound, right? Is Steve Albini going to Japan or are you going to his studio? What chord is that you're claiming as favorite?
On the second video your screaming kind of made me wonder if Black Francis ever sang in Japanese. Your drummer fucking rocks, too. Is the sweater over your microphone supposed to be a pop screen or something?

hello!

i rarely look at this forum, as you may realize. however, i am looking at it now!

i will answer your questions:

1. i actually like the guitar tone a lot more now than i did at the time of the video. it's kind of what i am going for, though i reckon i want something a little chunkier. it sounds too thin. recently i have purchased a big muff with tone wicker, which is a much nicer distortion, and an MXR micro amp clean booster. that, plus my old blues driver, gives me basically the tone i want (with tons of reverb coming out of the fender twin).

2. i am most certainly going to steve albini's studio in chicago. when, exactly, i am not sure. i'd have to book around three or four months in advance, so yeah.

3. said awesome chord in the video is uhh x3450x . . . . . .

it's a great one! (don't steal it! (lol))

4. the sweater over the microphone is, in fact, a kind of pop screen; i previously was using a burberry scarf, though people started accusing that of being some kind of anti-fashion statement. a sweater looks a lot better than some tissues strapped on with a rubber band. (should probably just get a real pop screen.)

the main reason i keep something on the mic, however, is to keep it from electrocuting me when i put my lips too close. (i had a hella huge split lip for a couple weeks a while back (it healed) and have been scared ever since)

I ate a burrito and thought of tim.

Mostly because the last time I saw him we ate burritos.

It was good.
